ACCS is Hiring an Accountant (1 or more positions available) Near Muscle Shoals, AL

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Prepare general ledger reconciliations.Maintain noncredit billing and reconciliations through Elevate.Prepare monthly financial disclosures.Manage outstanding check list, voided checks, and unclaimed property.Maintain fixed asset records to include disposals and additions.Maintain monthly fixed asset reconciliations.Assist with student billings, requisitions, and POs.Assist with set up of Accounts Receivable codes, vendors, and approval queues for requisitions.Assist with third party scholarship balancing and purchasing processes.Work closely with Accounts Payable and Procurement Accountant.Reconcile closed TouchNet cashier sessions and credit card receipts/refunds to Banner general ledger.Coordinate with Admissions and Financial Aid to ensure accuracy for student accounts (billings, address updates, grades, Title IV funds) or deans, department chairs, directors, and requestors for purchasing requests.Assist with student refunds under the supervision of Comptroller, Director of Accounting, or designee.Assist with purchasing issues related to or state bid lists.Assist with student accounts and review and make corrections of incomplete documents and control reports.Assist with Return of Title IV calculations coordinating with Financial Aid department and AR accountant.Serve as backup to Assistant Accountants as needed.Coordinate with Bookstore Manager under the supervision of the Comptroller, Director of Accounting, or designee to reconcile student bookstore charges for billing and accounts payable.Assist Executive Director of Financial Aid in preparing yearly financial aid reports (FISAP, etc.).Assist in preparation of financial and statistical reports detailing student accounts receivables, bad dept, collections, etc.Assist with the plan for control of accounts receivables, accounts payable, cash receipts, and restricted funds.Assist Comptroller, Director of Accounting, or designee with year-end closing processes.Assist Comptroller, Director of Accounting, or designee with 1098-Ts.Perform other job-related duties as designated by Comptroller, Director of Accounting, or designee.Travel between both campuses required on a regular basis.
