Accountable2You is Hiring a Content Marketing Manager Near Williamstown, KY

We’re growing and looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join our team! Do you share our passion for accountability, love our core values, have a gift for words, and possess the necessary skills and experience to lead a team? Read on!

What’s the starting salary range?

Depending on your experience, this full-time salaried role offers between $70,000 and $100,000 annually.

What makes the A2U Content Marketing team different?

Marketing at Accountable2You is about so much more than lead generation and growth targets. Our message drives our marketing, not the other way around. Delivering life-changing content is at the heart of our marketing. The highest goal of every department here is to serve our customers, and our Content Marketing team is at the forefront of this mission.

We’re blessed to have one of the very best accountability tools around—and that’s not only our opinion! It’s deeply humbling and satisfying to read thousands of emails, comments, and reviews from grateful customers whose lives and relationships have been transformed with the help of our service and resources. Alongside the software, every day resources like our book Defending Purity in a Pornographic Age are helping people find lasting freedom from sexual immorality.

These real-life testimonies are what motivate us and propel our marketing. We’re passionate about content here, and we see marketing as a means to get the word out to as many people as possible about Accountable2You and the life-changing message of accountability to God and one another.

What does a normal day look like?

Since we’re a small business, the Content Marketing Manager will wear many different hats and regularly exercise a wide range of skills. It all revolves around content—creating, editing, and publishing everything from emails and articles to videos, podcasts, and social media snippets. At the same time, on any given day you’ll handle a variety of marketing-related tasks—from project management to website administration, interacting with contractors, analyzing SEO trends, designing promotional materials, or moderating comments on Instagram.

As a growing company, the brand and marketing at Accountable2You are well established but still have plenty of room to develop. The Content Marketing Manager will drive forward the direction that has been set in the Content Marketing department, helping to clarify and establish our brand, marketing strategies, and departmental procedures.

You will be responsible to manage direct reports, as well as relationships with contractors, vendors, affiliates, and advertisers. You will interact daily with team members from other departments, working closely with leadership and our Educational Content team.

About you

  • You’re an outstanding human. We get it, no one is perfect, yet you possess a strong moral character that loves our core values and affirms Accountable2You's mission and purpose.
  • You believe the struggle is real. You believe purity is important and that bondage to pornography is a serious matter. You’re willing to address this sensitive topic publicly because you're committed to helping people in their journey toward freedom, purity, healing, and joy.
  • You’re a gifted communicator. While you don’t need to be an extrovert, those who know you best would say you thrive in environments that rely upon clear written and spoken communication. You enjoy working with words and take pleasure in a well-crafted sentence.
  • You’re a marketing pro. You have years of recent experience in a marketing role and understand the digital marketing landscape. You’re passionate about good branding and can totally geek out over data analytics, funnels (or flywheels), personas, and A/B test results.
  • You have high standards. Although you try to avoid being a perfectionist, excellence in your work is very important to you. Your coworkers would all agree that you bring your best to every task and produce high-quality results. Accuracy matters to you; in fact, you’re the sort of person who reads over emails before hitting “Send” to make sure you’ve communicated clearly and not made any mistakes.
  • You’re a team player. You are humble, hungry, smart, and genuinely enjoy collaborating with others. You actively seek out accountability from others and eagerly receive constructive criticism.
  • You’re a natural leader with a heart to serve. You don’t seek out the limelight, but you’re not afraid of it either. When you see a need, you rise (or bend) to fill it, even when the results are not glorious. As a result, others naturally look to you for leadership. You don’t shrink from responsibility, but you do look for opportunities to “elevate and delegate” depending on the skills of your team.
  • You’re a motivated self-starter. You can work independently, have a knack for solving problems, and don’t need hand-holding to make plans and get results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement content marketing strategies that promote our brand and drive qualified traffic to our website and apps.
  • Write, review, and edit marketing copy for blog posts, landing pages, email campaigns, social media posts, news releases, etc.
  • Oversee production and editing of audio/video content such as podcasts, video ads, webinars, and other media.
  • Oversee the creation of design assets for digital and physical media including website graphics, social media images, infographics, brochures, banners, signage, etc.
  • Manage the production process for each piece of content, from initial concept to final proofing and publication, to ensure timely completion, excellent quality, and brand consistency.
  • Manage a growing content marketing team of employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and optimize the results of content marketing efforts using data analytics tools to track engagement, traffic, SEO, ASO, paid ads, etc.
  • Represent the company at conferences and events, promoting our service to potential customers and networking with other businesses to build strategic relationships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers, affiliates, influencers, and sponsorships within our target market.
  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis.
  • Manage marketing budget and vendor relationships.
  • Perform other duties as needed and as directed.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
  • Very strong verbal communication abilities (public speaking experience preferred)
  • A minimum of five recent years in content marketing in a digital environment (writing and reviewing articles, blogs, emails, ads, etc.)
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing a team, recruiting, and hiring
  • Deep understanding of content marketing strategy and SEO
  • Strong proficiency with SEO analysis tools like Google Analytics and Moz Pro
  • Strong proficiency with business tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Confluence, Zoom, Gmail, Visio, Lucidchart, and other similar software
  • Experience using project/task management tools like Jira, Trello, Wrike, Basecamp, or Asana
  • Solid grasp of branding and design best practices
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere (or similar tools)
  • Willing to write and speak publicly on topics related to purity, pornography, and sexuality from a biblical Christian perspective
  • Willing to travel occasionally to represent Accountable2You at conferences and events
  • Experience conducting and leading performance reviews for direct reports
  • Affirmative, can-do attitude toward tasks and responsibilities
  • A team player who’s humble, hungry, and smart
  • A growth mindset toward self and others (Tip: 1.25x playback speed 😉)

Bonus points

  • BA or MA in biblical counseling, digital media, communications, writing, or another relevant field
  • Biblical counseling certification through ACBC or CCEF
  • Seminary or pastoral training and experience
  • Experience with audio/video production or podcasting
  • You're already using Accountable2You (or another similar accountability tool)
