Accord Federal Services is Hiring an Accounting Support Staff Near Knoxville, TN
Description
Manage and oversee daily data entry utilizing QuickBooks
Managing and processing all accounts payable transactions
Assist with weekly check runs for payments to vendors
Daily reconciliation of all checking and credit card accounts. This includes proper coding to the appropriate job/contract
Follow proper accounting standards and methods in accordance with GAAP
Answer phone calls and provide basic assistance, as needed
Coordinate and assist with annual and unscheduled audits
Help prepare invoices for each of the different contracts and learn to submit to government agencies via online portals
Assist with data entry of employee timesheets into QuickBooks.
Assist with data entry of payroll transactions into QuickBooks
Requirements
Strong technical accounting/bookkeeping background including proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, reporting, standards, laws, and regulations
QuickBooks Pro operating knowledge and experience
Strong Microsoft Excel and database skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills:
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail:
Must be a team player but also have the ability to work independently:
Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
