Accessible Resources for Independence is Hiring an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager Near Glen Burnie, MD

Accessible Resources for Independence (ARI) seeks an organized and team-oriented individual to serve as Administrative Assistant/Office Manager in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, to provide general administrative support to ARI’s executive team and program staff. This is a part-time (20 hours/week), in-person position that provides flexibility in scheduling.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining and supporting the organization’s day-to-day administrative operations;
  • Supporting ARI’s executive team and program staff;
  • Coordinating planning and communication with ARI staff, committees and program facilitators;
  • Completing operational requirements by scheduling external meetings for employees;
  • Interacting with Board members by scheduling meetings, completing information requests;
  • Recording incoming calls, general office mail and email, paper and electronic records;
  • Assisting with office supply inventory and clerical file maintenance;
  • Maintaining office operations by organizing company memos, managing post/mail, maintaining filing systems, placing supply orders, and maintaining and monitoring business clerical functions;
  • Maintaining and organizing office supply inventory; and
  • Organizing confidential consumer information and documentation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma required, some college or college degree a plus;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Experience working at a nonprofit;
  • Experience working with grants;
  • Experience with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Customer Relationship Management software, Zoom, Adobe; and
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals in the disability community and other professionals.
