Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings. 

About the Role 

We are looking for a proactive employee to complete Medicaid billing, audits, and reconciliations for our Consumer Directed Personal Services (CDPS) program utilizing personal expertise and knowledge

Responsibilities include:

• Process time sheet and payroll data into billable Medicaid units within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Billing system (currently using MITC & MyBilling
• Transmit billing files to the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MMCOs) and eMedNY for Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) for bi-weekly basis billing 
• Perform monthly reconciliations of CDPS program Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts through use of aging reports and accounting system reports
• Complete periodic internal audits of records maintained in the CDPS billing files, done manually
• Maintain unit statistics for assigned program areas for Agency reporting

Education & Experience 

Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Medical Billing plus two years’ experience in Medical Billing (including Medicaid) preferred. Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer skills required. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

Must be able to independently perform billing duties. Computer skills including word processing and database management necessary

Conditions of Employment

Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
