Work Hours: Monday-Friday; 9am-3pm or 10am-4pm

Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist individual in performing tasks, fostering independence.
• Continually assess vocational, social, communication and independent skills.
• Provide guidance to individual.
• Identify volunteer/employment modifications.
• Assist in advocating when out in the community.
• Comply with policies and procedures.
• Provide summary of each shift worked.
• Assist individual with creating their weekly schedules before the end of each week.
• Report to Supervisor any needs, problems or concerns.
• Maintains and expands skills and knowledge relevant to providing high quality support and services. Obtains and maintains all required certifications and trainings and applies the information to support individuals.
• Implement program curriculum.
• Directly deliver 1:1 learning experiences to assist in obtaining his/her IPP objectives.
• Maintain data regarding individual progress.
• Participate in individuals’ assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Dress appropriately.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a high school diploma and at least six months experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. All applicants must be able to pass a DOJ Clearance. Candidate must obtain First Aid and CPR certification, TB test clearance and valid California Driver’s License.

Job Type: Full-time
