About the Role
The Director, Brand Marketing is a new and ambitious role for our client. The role will be the strategic partner to the Vice President of Marketing and is critical to our client's marketing succession planning (this role will serve as the successor to the VP Marketing). In addition, our client's organization titles are low (within most organizations, this role would be VP-level). The current VP of Marketing's tenure has focused on modernizing marketing (B2B and B2C). Our client's brand, market position, and focus on innovation is second to none. This role will seek to build on these strengths, explicitly focusing on innovative brand marketing and its seamless integration with all aspects of marketing - from demand to retail. This is a highly strategic and visible role within and across all levels of our client's organization. This role must be able to package and present strategic thought to senior leaders, business/agency partners, and retailers while working to influence and integrate these ideas across our marketing ecosystem. Our client is seeking a hands-on leader with strategic rigor who can also roll up their sleeves, work alongside team members, and drive measurable business outcomes. We understand that our ask for this role is both broad and deep. Our goal is to identify someone who maps to all the defined requirements. However, we are also open to someone who maps to most of the requirements and can adjust the role to the candidate. Our desired outcome is identifying the right candidate vs. force-fitting to the requirements. We are a group of high-performing yet humble leaders.
