The work:

The SRE Lead will coordinate across operations, engineering, and security teams to ensure services are delivered in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a platform for automating operations of a multi-cloud managed services environment leveraging best-of-breed open-source, commercial, cloud-native, and Accenture proprietary tools
  • Collaborate with client delivery teams to develop tools and methods for self-service, on-demand access to cloud resources within established guardrails
  • Collaborate with operations and security teams to maximize automation of standardized, repeatable processes
  • Collaborate with Service Management team to ensure production systems are engineered to cost-effectively meet established SLAs/SLOs
  • Mentor technical staff on the use of automation tools and best practices for adoption of an “everything-as-code” mindset
  • Mentor security staff on the use of policy-as-code and automated enforcement, validation, and remediation of security misconfigurations
  • Collaborate with operations leads to define optimized, product-centric team structures and operating models
  • Collaborate with compliance and security leads to incorporate modern operational practices into the security program to securely and cost-effectively meet the requirements of multiple regulatory/compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF, DoD Cloud SRG, SOC2)
  • Develop initiatives for continual service improvement through relentless automation
  • Support Tier 3 incident and problem resolution for production customers

Here’s what you need:

  • 15 years of progressively responsible experience supporting operations and engineering within enterprise IT environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of multi-cloud automation tools and methodologies
  • Expert-level knowledge with at least one hyper-scale CSP
  • Working knowledge of multiple commercial CSPs
  • Demonstrable understanding of the challenges of working within a multi-tenant cloud environment for IaaS and/or PaaS services models
  • Experience applying modern software engineering best practices to the management of IT infrastructure and platforms
  • Experience driving change and operational transformation into established teams
  • Experience within highly regulated environments, such as U.S. Government agencies
  • Experience with cyber security concepts and managing the balance between business objectives and security compliance
  • Advanced certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Security or CISSP Certification
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or another technical major or equivalent professional experience
  • US Citizenship Required

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington State as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:

California: $105,200 - $ 196,500

Colorado: $105,200 - $ 169,700

New York: $97,300 – $ 196,500

Washington State: $112,100 – $180,700
