Accenture Federal Services is Hiring a Mongo Database Developer Near Washington, DC

The work:

Seeking an experienced Mongo Developer who can design and implement sharding for MongoDB, in conjunction with data replication requirements and backend application integration points. 

You will perform the following:

  • Maintain and map business requirements for efficient document structures of MongoDB databases.
  • Work closely with the application team to understand what changes are coming in a build/patch/hotfix, do an impact analysis, and fine-tune the queries.
  • Analyze slow queries and provide suggestions to implement data pipelines and data storage solutions.
  • Perform access pattern tuning, indexing strategies and debugging query execution to obtain optimum DB performance.
  • Have familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) for managing MongoDB deployments and enhancing scalability.

Here's what you need:

  • 4 years of experience with database administration and application development environments
  • Knowledge of NoSQL technologies, REST API, and performance optimization
  • Experience with MongoDB development and API prototypes in support of multi-stakeholder application teams
  • In-depth understanding of MongoDB strategies OR RDBMS (e.g JSON, Cassandra, Dynamo), including replica sets and sharding
  • US Citizenship required

Bonus points if you have:

  • Understand of Database Security Management, including authentication mechanisms and encryption, such as LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used with MongoDB (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js)

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:

California: $95,600 - $178,600

Colorado: $95,600 - $154,300

New York: $88,600 - $178,600

Washington: $101,900 - $164,400
