Accenture Federal Services is Hiring a Data Scientist Near Charlottesville, VA

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

  • Apply statistics, machine learning and analytic approaches to answer key intelligence questions, producing results and re-usable products that provide real value to analysts
  • Develop and refine data sets to achieve stakeholder goals and objectives as requested
  • Work with analysts to interpret analytic results and refine analysis, as needed
  • Apply machine learning techniques to identify and transform data features, find hidden patterns and trends, build and optimize classifiers, create automated anomaly detection systems, and automate steps of processes
  • Evaluate statistical models to determine the validity of analyses, implement evaluated models into production by collaborating with software developers, periodically re-evaluate and refine machine learning models being used in production

Basic Qualifications:

  • Data programing languages to script and analyze data using Python and/or R 
  • Conducting complex queries in SQL or similar database language
  • Leading an analytics team responsible for driving data driven solutions utilizing statistical modeling and research to solve complex problems 
  • Consulting or similar field requiring client collaboration, presentation, and delivery 
  • Extracting data, aggregating, and structuring data along different dimensions
  • Bachelor's degree
  • US Citizenship and no Dual Citizenship

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in an AWS Development Environment

Security Clearance:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to start

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $88,100 to $123,400, and information on benefits offered is here: https://www.accenture.com/us-en/careers/local/total-rewards
