Accenture Federal Services is Hiring a Cybersecurity Counsel Near Arlington, VA

As a Federal Cybersecurity and Technology Legal Manager, you will have a core role in shaping and supporting how our Accenture Federal Services’ capabilities are developed and protected, including a focus on incident response and related cybersecurity regulatory compliance, insider threat investigations, and other security matters. You will identify and manage legal and commercial risks and provide high quality legal guidance and advice to our organization, with a focus on building and maintaining the trust of our people, clients, suppliers and partners. You will work closely with other Legal teams, other corporate functions and the business to deliver innovative solutions in a responsible and compliant way.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity supporting internal and client-facing operations
  • Partner with legal, business, and technical leadership to interpret and apply cybersecurity regulations and policy across the company’s operations and lines of business
  • Manage cybersecurity incident analysis & response
  • Design and help implement policies, procedures, and tools related to cybersecurity and other security matters
  • Support contracting teams to understand and mitigate contractual and delivery risk related to cybersecurity and other security matters
  • Advise the business on the application of cybersecurity considerations to emerging technologies like AI and blockchain
  • Provide strong collaboration with CIO, CSO & CISO to anticipate and address security threats, risk and compliance
  • Develop and deliver cyber and security training to targeted audiences
  • Identify relevant legal, regulatory and policy requirements as well as voluntary commitments and industry best practices, and translate them into policy, standards and controls;
  • Provide business focused, risk based, guidance to the Business, Sales Teams and client-facing Legal team.

Here's What You Need:

  • JD
  • 5 years of experience with a law firm or corporate legal department to include experience with cybersecurity issues
  • Experience leading or directing investigations
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues in an understandable and persuasive manner to technical and business leaders at all organizational levels

Bonus Points:

  • Focused experience with cybersecurity issues
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with federal government cybersecurity regulations (e.g. DFARS, NIST, FISMA, CUI/CDI, Privacy Act), and US data privacy laws
  • Substantial experience with cyber incident management
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting regulations and environment (e.g. FAR/DFARS, FCA, NISPOM)
  • Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and incident handling procedures.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy concepts and principles.
