Accenture Federal Services is Hiring a Contract Specialist Near Arlington, VA

You Are:

The Contract Management Specialist in the Analytics, Data, and Records role will facilitate the management of multiple competing priorities. Duties will include understanding and analyzing data, correlating data to determine needed actions, project management of multiple complex and competing priorities, proactive issue resolution, presentation/outreach to the business and corporate leadership driving compliance and awareness on our corporate responsibilities for data management and records management in accordance with Accenture Policy, and implementation/improvement of tools and processes.

The Work:

  • The individual must manage complex activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements.
  • Responds to complex inquiries into any aspect of AFS' current and past contracts from both internal and external sources.
  • Reviews work of other Contract Management professionals.
  • Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives or process improvements that lead to the best solution.
  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding status of deliverables.
  • Applies expertise in contract management system of record procedures and processes to create accurate contract management records to ensure all Contract Management systems are current, accurate, and complete with all of AFS' contract related data.
  • Analyzes trends and interpret data across AFS enterprise systems.
  • Actively involved in Contract Management initiatives.
  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Accenture’s major business areas (System Integration and/or Outsourcing) to communicate effectively with project Senior Executives and provide relevant advice. May provide training to Contract Management personnel.

Here's What You Need:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • College degree required; advanced degree in business, contract management, law or engineering preferred. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience including a background in contracts, data science, compliance, project management and knowledge of the Federal government environment or related discipline.
  • Experience in working with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated successful management of complex functions.
  • Knowledge of general corporate business practices, government and commercial contracting regulations and principles, subcontracting practices, and accounting and finance principles
  • Collaborative and persuasive; able to influence executives and non-executives.
  • Able to effectively communicate with client executives and all levels of the organization.

Bonus point if you have: 

  • Prior experience in the contract management/procurement/legal/finance field highly preferable
  • Understanding of basic Federal contracting principles highly preferable
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFAR and agency-specific supplements highly preferable
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, flexible.
  • Able to set priorities and juggle multiple demands.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to apply sound business judgment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
  • Understanding of or experience with Python, R, SQL, and/or data analysis tools (such as Power BI) is a plus.

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington State as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:

  • California: $77,900 - $147,800
  • Colorado: $77,900 - $127,600
  • New York: $70,000 - $147,800
  • Washington State: $82,900 - $136,100
