Responsibilities
Updating ticket information
Answering technical support calls
Assigning tickets severity
Prioritizing work accordingly
Collaborating, and working with other technicians to resolve issues
Receiving and working on break/fix requests from the service bench
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installing, setting up, configuring, and deploying workstations, printers, switches, peripherals and software packages
Testing new equipment, imaging operating systems, performing data backups and restoring/setting up workstations
Teaching customers and team members on various applications and operating systems
Communicating highly technical information to both technical and non-technical users
Competencies and Qualities
We require 2-5 years of experience in an IT focused position
Associate's degree in a relevant field is nice but not required
Technical Certifications such as MCITP, Support Technician, or MCSA are highly desirable
Strong experience working in Active Directory
Experience troubleshooting, configuring, deploying, and administrating Microsoft workstations connect to a domain
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and on a consistent basis
Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver effectively in a fast paced environment
You should possess excellent communication and client service skills, both written and oral, including a proven ability to create detailed technical documentation
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments in a timely manner
You should possess strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems
Be able to lift to 50 lbs.
Possess reliable transportation and a clear driving record
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Associates degree or better is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience is required. MSP experience is preferred.
At least 2 certifications from leading vendors such as Apple, Cisco, CompTIA, or Microsoft are preferred.
Work Environment
In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space. Work will require the use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and multi-function printers. The position will be expected to make use of specialized tools and software for troubleshooting and system administration.
Travel
This position requires less than 30% travel with no overnight travel expected.
Physical Demands
Candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds or more. The position will require sitting for long periods of time and may occasionally require lifting, bending, and driving.
