Accel Therapies is Hiring a Behavior Technician (Center-Based) Near Mc Kinney, TX

Hey - thanks for checking out our job. A lot of these companies are talking about their jobs and why they're so great - and that's fine - but we want to talk about you and meet you right where you're at.

Let's be honest: we've all been through a lot these past two years. Most of us have rethought our lives and careers and we want to do something that's more than "just a job." A lot of us are just burnt out and want to know that our work matters - that's it's about more than punching in and out.

If you're in that boat and wondering what's next - maybe you're a student or just looking to make a career change into a field that's more rewarding - come make a life-changing impact in the lives of kids and families by joining our clinical team and starting a career in Behavior Analysis at Accel Therapies.

Whether you're an experienced Behavior Technician or barely know what "ABA" is all about, our caring and highly capable team can set you on a path to a career you love making a real difference in the world around you.

Keep reading for more information, but if you have questions or just want to talk to a real person about what this role is like, please reach out to our friendly People Team by sending us a message and we can set up a call or talk via chat. We'd be thrilled to speak with you and there's no obligation whatsoever.

You probably have questions. Good news - we have answers!

Why do I want to work as a Behavior Technician?

  • Being a Behavior Technician can be incredibly rewarding; you'll be amazed at what you're capable of once you graduate from our training program and start working with kids!
  • It's a terrific opportunity to get hands-on experience providing a clinical, behavioral health service without an advanced degree or credential. This job is ideal for those pursuing Clinical Psychology, Medicine, Social Work, or any Human Health Service looking for real-world experience. P.S. - a lot of them like ABA so much that they stick around and become Board Certified Behavior Analysts here!
  • Regardless, as with any job, there are good days and tough days; that's why it's so important to work with a team that has your back. Through our team-based approach, you'll work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Case Manager to celebrate the wins and navigate the difficulties.

Why do I want to work with Accel Therapies specifically?

We're glad you asked! ABA companies are notcreated equal. Some are small and lack the resources necessary to support you and create a fun, energetic working environment. Others are way too big, very impersonal, the pay isn't great, and even though they promise full-time status they'll only assign you 10-15 hours per week.

  • Accel Therapies is a "big, little" organization that offers the deeply personal experience and growth opportunities of a small company but the technology, stability, and resources of a large one.
  • We've developed a career path for you. Most of our talented, dedicated Behavior Technicians enjoy promotions and significant raises in the first few months of employment. Many become Case Managers after two years with compensation rates up to $30 / hour.
  • We recognize that our Behavior Technicians are the very core of our company. You'll never feel like a number here! We know that happy clients start with happy employees, so your mental wellness and job satisfaction are our top priority - just ask our People Team.
  • We teach you everything you need to know so you're equipped for success. Some companies will throw you into your first case with minimal training in the "sink or swim" approach - not here. You'll experience our proprietary training program developed and refined over several years in coordination with the RBT task list.
  • We will meet you where you're at. You can only work part-time because you're going to school? Great. You need full-time hours? We're on it. You want to work with students in some of the best schools in Orange County? We have the relationships. We've been at this for more than 15 years, so we can create an experience that works for you.

But don't take our word for it. If you're interviewing elsewhere - as you should - be sure to ask these questions in your conversations with other companies.

  • How quickly does your average Behavior Technician get promoted and what do you do to support my career development?
  • Can I make up to $25 as a Behavior Technician?
  • Do you offer 401K; how do you help me plan for my future?
  • Do you use a platform like Bonusly or how are you investing in recognizing and rewarding your Behavior Technicians?
  • Do you provide an iPad for me to use and will you pay for my drive time and mileage between clients?

Whether you end up working with our organization or not, we want to make sure you find a role that thrills you - where you're able to make a real difference and achieve your individual career goals.

We're incredibly proud of the services we provide and the way we provide them and would love to have the opportunity to show you why. Let us be your next step - Accel Therapies and you.
