Chief Engineer-Space Ground Systems

$209,000-$230,000 per year plus full benefits package starting day one and a relocation package.

• Minimum 15 years of Chief Engineer level with Space Ground Systems experience for our MUOS program
• The MUOS User Objective System (MUOS) is a US Space Force
• As Chief Engineer for MUOS, you'll leverage your extensive technical expertise to propel our MUOS Sustainment and R&D initiatives forward.
• Your responsibilities will span from crafting technical strategies and driving product innovations to spearheading technical responses to proposals and nurturing client relationships and the next generation of engineers.
• In this role, you'll oversee intricate technology development and steer design processes, recommending advancements to replace end-of-life hardware.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development to shape strategy and maintain regular engagement with Government sponsors, industry partners, and technical personnel.
• Deliver technical responses to government and commercial proposals.
• Foster collaboration among the company's Chief Engineers across business lines on common technical issues and strategic initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive technical strategies, roadmaps, and product development plans.
• Lead in-depth studies to advance MUOS to a 5G network architecture and upgraded ground system.
• Provide technical leadership in designing, analyzing, implementing, testing, and sustaining capabilities in this adapted 3G WCDMA cellular system for the military and associated ground system.
• Deliver quick and thorough resolution of non-conformances and other challenges that might arise, including leading failure investigations and presentation of findings to internal and customer review boards.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members to foster their professional growth.
• With a focus on satellite-to-ground communications and 3GPP cellular core network design, this role epitomizes engineering excellence that sets global standards.
