Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or relevant field of study required
  • MBA preferred

Work Experiences:

  • 15 years of related work experience
  • Deep understanding of modern media (traditional, digital, social, owned, paid, data-driven, and audience-based) and experience in its deployment to build awareness, consideration, and intent to shop, driving omni retail/QSR traffic/sales at the national, regional, and local level

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions
  • Maintain the customer's perspective as a driving force behind business decisions and activities
  • Ability to set high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, frequently-changing environment while remaining detail-oriented and organized
  • Respond positively to change, embracing and using new practices or methods to accomplish goals and solve problems
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct media planning, development, and implementation to meet the strategic media objectives of the organization to drive sales
  • Oversee a team of media buyers across print, broadcast, digital, social, online video, out-of-home and emerging/new marketing channels
  • Responsible identifying unique media buying opportunities andnegotiating efficient and effective media deals
  • Responsible for leading and overseeing the marketing and management of online media and promotions plan
  • Strategically manage spending levels and placement by channel and manage media budgets against the execution of plans
  • Leverage analytics and performance metrics to evaluate the impact of media strategies to the business to make viable future recommendations
  • Provide market analysis on media optimization, media mix, and efficiency to provide recommendations on individual market requirements
  • Interface with the category and regional marketing teams, research and analytics, and advertising agencies to develop and implement local media planning programs
  • Maintain advanced media planning and buying knowledge and stay abreast of the latest media trends
  • Leverage media to drive key performance measures such as traffic and awareness in support of company goals
  • Partner with eCom team to provide strategy plan and content guidelines for social media
  • Work with Ad team and marketing promotions to plan, execute and track vendor co-op initiatives
  • Plan and execute paid search elements in partnership with eCom team to define key words and category priorities
  • Source, negotiate and execute all online media buys
  • Collaborate with eCom to develop new interactive marketing strategies with potential to drive ecommerce conversions
  • Assist in planning, developing policies and procedures, and implementing strategies for digital marketing
  • Interact with various divisions regarding workflow and project needs
  • Maintain records of the applicable internet marketing contract budgets, codes invoices and sends accruals to Accounting each month
  • Promote consistency among Academy brands and campaigns
  • Maintain budget for work centers supported
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
