Job Summary:
The Bartender/Cook at AC Portland Beaverton is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant environment. This is a part-time, hourly role that requires versatile skills in bartending and cooking. The individual in this role will work closely with the kitchen staff and other restaurant team members to offer a unique dining experience to our guests.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this role will be based on an hourly rate and will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, this position offers paid time off and opportunities for growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
• Greet guests and take their orders promptly with a positive and friendly attitude
• Prepare a variety of food items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to standard recipes and procedures
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with local laws and regulations
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area, including stocking and cleaning of bar and kitchen supplies
• Ensure excellent guest service at all times, accurately taking and submitting orders and suggesting menu items as needed
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card transactions
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe dining environment
• Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in bartending and cooking
• Strong knowledge of mixology and food preparation techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
