Job Summary:
Summary: Reporting to the Plant Manager,it is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to ensure the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of Abzac’s machines and mechanical systems are completed in a timely manner for operational effectiveness.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• Thorough working knowledge of Abzac’s machines.
• Ability to find, diagnose and repair mechanical failures as required.
• Ability to navigate and provide required documentation in the Upkeep maintenance database.
• Perform preventative and unscheduled equipment maintenance.
• Stay on task to complete work order deadlines as required.
• Relentless attention to detail and organization.
• Basic ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics.
• Self-motivation, working with minimal supervision, using company time efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance room in accordance with Abzac’s requirements.
• Clear communication skills.

Maintenance Repair Duties:

• Machinery Preventative Maintenance to include: full machinery inspections, clean and grease, replace parts as needed (filters, bearings, air cylinders and other parts)
• Machine troubleshooting and repair to include: replace bearings, switches, etc. and light rebuild/clean
• General maintenance includes: light parts fitting duties
