State of Georgia is Hiring a Groundskeeper Near Waco, GA
grounds.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assesses campus grounds for maintenance needs;
- Follows planned designs to determine where to plan or lay sod;
- Mows grass and trims weeds;
- Operates large power lawn mowers, edges, hand tools, and large vehicles associated
- Plants seeds, bulbs, foliage and applies mulch for protection, using gardening tools;
- Places pine straw; mulches beds around trees and buildings. Applies herbicides and
- Treats grounds for mosquitoes, fire ants, and other insects;
- Maintains grounds maintenance equipment;
- Collects trash and debris for disposal;
- Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as roofs, sidewalks, and
- Assists in the maintenance of parking lots and other surfaces including asphalt repairs;
- Provides preventative maintenance to grounds areas.
Preferred QualificationsIn addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.
