The Opportunity

As the International HR Business Partner , you will be responsible for supporting internal employees in over 50 countries around the world . This role will work closely with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization to deliver on various Human Resources programs, processes, and initiatives. Your primary responsibility for partnering with leadership is to identify business needs and Human Resources solutions in alignment with Abt’s corporate strategy as well as the strategy of IDD. The successful HRBP must have the ability to seek out opportunities to work collaboratively with management in achieving business goals and proactively identify areas to bring value. This role will also assist in the development of strategic Human Resources programs that will engage, develop, and retain employees.

Core Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Global Development Group develop and execute on strategic Human Resources programs and solutions that will help attract, engage, develop, and retain employees.
  • Facilitate the adoption of enterprise and division change initiatives.
  • Provide coaching to management on addressing a variety of employee issues such as compensation, effective people management, employee engagement and high touch communications while effectively balancing employee and leadership needs as well as effectively mitigating business and company risk.
  • Support the employee goal management and performance evaluation processes and partner with management to ensure that all employees are provided clear and consistent feedback on performance; provide performance improvement recommendations and/or training where growth opportunities exist for employees to develop additional job skills.
  • Identify opportunities for global employee, manager, and leadership development programs.
  • Understand, recommend, and implement Human Resources policies and procedures. Partner with employees and management to communicate these policies and procedures as well as understand local labor laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Deliver and facilitate organizational effectiveness and learning and development content to internal clients to support company strategic objectives related to culture and building leaders at all levels.
  • Partner with Workplace Relations and International HR Ops and Compliance to support employee issues as well as project start up and close out activities.
  • Work in Collaboration with all parts of the Human Resources Team to integrate and deliver outstanding HR services to the business. Bring the perspective of the GDG team to HR programs.

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree Three years of relevant experience, or PhD
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and be a strong contributing team member
  • Strong collaboration skills, the ability to effectively leverage internal corporate resources, as well as the ability to tap into HR peers and an external network, where appropriate, to get to the best recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with an ability to be both creative and compliant when solutioning
  • Facilitation skills as we as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A proven track record of aligning HR goals and objectives with the business goals, combined with a strong understanding of business concepts and key business drivers
  • In-depth knowledge of USAID rules and regulations to include local country labor and employment laws
  • Government contracting and OFCCP compliance knowledge is desired
  • Prior work experience in Professional Services and/or Government Contracting industries
  • PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification preferred

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $62,000 to $100,000 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
