Position Overview :

Performs a variety of duties as a PM traypasser. Pulls carts when heating is finished, checks trays for accuracy and completion, and delivers food carts to open nursing stations to pass trays and maintains a clean workstation.

Position may involve stocking of patient units for floorstock items.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Checks patient trays for completion, temperature, and accuracy. Notifies supervisor if supervisor check required. Reheats individual trays as needed for temperature compliance.

Delivers patient meal carts to units and passes trays to select units. Associate is responsible for knowledge of food allergens and high risk trays as checking is required before delivery to unit and or patient.

Associate is also responsible for completing late tray requests as well as delivery to patient care unit. Associate may assist with unit floor stock as needed.

Associate may assist with team in Dish room near end of shift as needed.

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Demonstrates ability to use various food services supplies and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range is $27.72 to $31.05 / hour
