General Description

This position will assist the Lt. Governor in their oversight duties of programs and projects assigned. Taking directives, planning, researching, organizing, implementing and directing action as necessary. ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Project coordinators oversee small parts of the larger project and are primarily responsible for administrative tasks.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Work on any and all aspects of projects as directed; including but not limited to research, development, organizing, implementing and evaluating.
  • May be responsible to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • May create a project schedule, with milestones, due dates and team members/departments involved and other resources, which will then be submitted to management for approval.
  • Monitor project progress and bring issues to the attention of your manager.
  • Ability to perform a variety of important and sometimes urgent, confidential tasks with constant changing priorities.
  • Maintain records within an electronic data management system.
  • Submit progress reports on assigned projects.
  • Work with oversight program Directors/Staff to improve and increase communication, efficiency and quality of services.
  • Attend training as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Associates preferred or High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college or technical education preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) year of job-related experience.
  • Possess professional written and verbal communication. Professional interpersonal skills and appearance. Ability to motivate staff and produce work products in a timely manner. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Ability to work and interact with diverse individuals.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of federal grants, BIA and IHS Self Governance contracts, State Compacts, Federal laws, codes and regulations relating to sovereign nations.
  • Knowledge of construction: read and comprehend blueprints, interpret materials manifest, perform on site inspection for progress reports.
  • Knowledge and skill in use of computers, related software and platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in program planning, coordinating, and implementation.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs)
  • Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs)
