Abrasive Technology is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Center, OH

1st Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm)

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of all machines and equipment, as well as building repairs.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines, conventional tool lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, paint/repair walls, light plumbing, etc.
  • Install/troubleshoot and repair up to 480-volt branch circuits such as plugs, receptacles, switches, etc.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control wiring on machine tool lathes, mills, grinders, ovens, etc.
  • Follow all company safety policies and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft programs.
  • Must be able to read and follow machine schematics.
  • Good communication skills are a must.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Desired qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with electroplating equipment and welding.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Will operate a forklift and various other types of lifts.
  • Stand for 4 hours a day.
  • Willingness to work around chemicals and use appropriate PPE.
