Position Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer (E&I)
Location: Gum Springs, AR
Status: Contract – 12 months possibility to convert to Full time
Status: On-Site
Pay Range -$75-$100

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client is seeking the services of a talented Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer (E&I) encompassing the following:
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in an EPC contractor environment for large capital projects such as Oil/Gas, Chemical or Hazardous Waste design and construction projects.
  • Previously performed as a lead Project Engineer for at least 5 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Process design and analysis skills of various instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical equipment up to 4160v, steam turbine generators and controls systems for large capital projects.
  • Demonstrated project engineering management skills. (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing)
  • Ability to work effectively with various cross-functional teams.
  • Broad knowledge of multiple processes and engineering disciplines augmented with practical work experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly effective communication, presentation and reporting skills.
What you will do / Responsibilities:
In this highly visible role, you will be an integral member of the Company’s (Owner’s) Project Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager on this $350M modernization effort.
 It is expected you will be involved in the following:
  • Supporting and leading E&I engineering activities related to this project from the Owner’s perspective.
  • Reporting onsite and interfacing daily with other members of the project team including the package engineers who will support on a consultant basis.
  • Engaging with the project team to address on-going design, engineering or process issues and to ensure successful completion and startup of the plant.
  • Reviewing the E&I Scope of Work package to ensure that bidders have a complete and accurate understanding of the scope for installation and erection of equipment. 
  • Oversee inspection of electrical equipment received on site as performed by the E&I Inspector.
  • Manage engineering response to E&I RFIs and any design change submittals; Provide E&I design input on all change orders and plant projects.
  • Coordinate E&I construction punch lists and QA documentation with E&I Construction Superintendent and E&I QA Inspector.
  • Support Commissioning Engineer in development and execution of Commissioning Plan.
  • Assist in developing equipment performance testing plans.
  • Participate in punch-lists and hand-offs on all electrical equipment and systems.
  • Collaboratively and effectively lead efforts to resolve process design issues between Engineering-, Prime-, and Sub-contractors.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Engineering Manager regarding the status of engineering issues affecting project cost, quality and schedule.
