ABM is Hiring an Irrigation Technician Near Tampa, FL
- Repair and maintain irrigation systems at Hillsborough County high schools' sports fields.
- Perform other maintenance and construction-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Modify existing irrigation systems to improve coverage or accommodate construction activities.
- Rapidly respond to address emergency leaks or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair broken irrigation components such as pipes, heads, nozzles, and valves.
- Monitor and program irrigation controllers for proper and efficient operation.
- Proficiency with multi-meters, trenchers, wire locators, and ditchers.
- Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with 110-volt electricity, 24V sprinkler timers and wiring, and landscape water management.
- Ability to operate and maintain ground equipment.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
- Two full-time years (24 months) of progressively responsible grounds irrigation care and maintenance work in a municipal, commercial, or parks setting.
- Experience in performing preventative maintenance to correct performance issues, including elevation adjustments of heads, valves, and valve boxes.
- Ability to create and read site map-colored charts/legends is a plus.
- Must be dedicated, determined, and dependable.
