ABM US is Hiring a Bookkeeper Near Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary Details
Administerall accounting reconciliation processes for credit card, cash and check payments for monthly, hybrid and reloadable parking card customers including validation, special events and daily and monthly receipts, monthly billing, monthly customer parking card fees, and all parking customer account receipts, payment posting, adjustment and past due payment and collections.

Duties and Expectations:

  1. The position is an internal customer contact position via in-person, phone, or email and is a full-time on-site office position.
  2. Prepare all reports and reconciliations to post adjustments to the internal database and affiliated accounting systems. 
    1. Assist daily data entry/batch processing by answering questions.
    2. Administer daily revenue payments, which include preparing reports, researching reconciliation problems, reconciling payments, and creating and making corrections. 
    3. Reconcile Wells Fargo Bank transactions by comparing Bank Deposits received with Central Count Facility (CCF) deposits sent.
  3. Organize and file CCF Daily Activity Summary reports.
  4. Verify, make changes and/or delete transactions from parking database system.
  5. Review email report requests to respond to general and specific email requests timely.
  6. Research unidentified payments and direct personnel to process payments properly.
  7. Gather data and complete monthly Accounts Receivable reports for monthly parking, special events, banquets, and credit card vs cash revenue reporting.
  8. Review completed AR reports, organize and file all reports and paper copies daily/monthly/annually.
  9. Record Cash Out values and reconcile those values against Skidata reports.
  10. Reconcile all cash and credit card transactions for all business units.
  11. Generate invoicing reports and send to concerned contacts for all special event no matter where they are held within the MPLS Parking system. 
  12. Generate surface lot credit card reports and ecommerce reports for other teammates to enter daily.
  13. Generate Weekly Event Reports for operations management. 
  14. Generate Batch Deposit Lists for parking notices and night box transactions.
  15. Reconcile prepaid validation requests against payments received.
  16. Ensure all files are correctly imported into the database for the data entry clerk.
  17. Perform daily parking reconciliations following written procedure.
  18. Bring forward ideas on how to improve existing processes and procedures. 
  19. Ability to understand and implement new processes/procedures.
  20. As needed front desk/receptionist back up 
  21. Complete special projects and reports for General Manager, Accounting Manager, and City of Minneapolis personnel.
  22. The successful candidate must be able to perform the above-listed duties satisfactorily.
  23. Performance of any reasonable task assigned, even if the task falls outside of this position description, this should be considered “other duties as assigned”.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Education / Experience:
    1. High School Diploma or GED is required. 
    2. MS Office, including Intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook
    3. Accounts Collection experience.
    4. Demonstrated ability to complete the functions of the position at a high level.
    5. Ability to complete duties while performing in a high-volume setting.
    6. Organization and attention to detail is critical to the candidate’s success.
    7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    8. Excellent customer service, phone skills, 
    9. Ability to work as a team and individually.
  1. Working Hours and Reporting for Duty as assigned.
    1. Position requirement is to be in attendance and working during office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 
    2. Attendance in person is required to perform the duties assigned to this position, this is not a hybrid or work from home position and attendance in the office each day is mandatory.

    2. Speak in a clear and concise manner.
