Description

The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible to ensure the oversight of the Operations Department, including day-to-day upkeep of the Organization’s physical facilities, organization of inventory requests, management of requests from program managers and coordinators, and oversight of the members of the Operations Team. The Assistant Director of Operations communicates regularly to the Director as well as the Operations Assistants regarding projects to be scheduled and completed, work to be accomplished by self or others, estimated costs, and communication with staff and vendors. The Assistant Director of Operations will inspect facilities for safety, most efficient repair, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education – High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Substitution for Education - If experience / training requirements are met, employee must demonstrate and ability to communicate verbally and in writing in lieu of high school diploma.
• Experience: At least 5 years successful experience in position of building maintenance/handyperson or as skilled laborer in construction field. Must demonstrate abilities in area of electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and other building trades.
• Substitution for Experience – Successful completion in apprenticeship in building trades may be substituted for one year of experience in construction or building maintenance trades.
• Special Qualifications: Valid driver’s license and good physical condition, capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.
