Basic Responsibilities
  • Manage financial recordkeeping for the center and mission trips.

  • Oversee front-office operations of the HC.

Essential Duties
  • Manage financial recordkeeping of office operations and mission trips.

    • Office Finances:

      • Allocate and balance purchasing cards monthly

      • Create requisitions/purchase orders and receiving documents in Banner

      • Monitor budgets and submit monthly account reports

      • Receive funds and make deposits

      • Provide support for filing travel card reports, as needed

    • Trip Finances:

      • Record, track, administer, and balance student funds received for missions experiences

      • Submit payments to vendors and partner organizations

      • Manage trip leader expense reports

  • Oversee the front-office operations of the HC.

    • Handle correspondence (electronic and physical mail)

    • Receive visitors and phone calls during scheduled hours

    • Attend and keep minutes during staff meetings

    • Maintain office functionality (e.g., purchasing supplies, communicating with vendors, etc.)

    • Interface with students, parents, leaders, and hosts regarding trip details or questions.

    • Strong planning and organizational skills

    • Attention to detail in paperwork

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suites

    • Basic bookkeeping and budgeting experience

Qualifications
  • Professional (required):

    • Ability to learn new computer programs and web-based applications

    • Discretion in handling confidential information

    • Manage and prioritize on-going tasks

    • Present professional demeanor to faculty, staff, students, and the community

  • Professional (preferred):

    • Familiarity with bookkeeping

    • 2 years administrative experience

    • A bachelor's degree

    • Front office experience

  • Personal:

    • Christian character

    • Organizationally and detail oriented

    • Independently complete assigned tasks

    • Collaborative spirit toward teamwork

    • Well developed interpersonal skills

    • Personal discretion and confidentiality

    • Note: While not required, an interest or history with missions activities will be beneficial for engaging with the work and life of this office.

Physical Demands
  • Able to function efficiently and maintain self-control in stressful situations

  • Able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer screen or while attending meetings

  • Able to occasionally complete tasks outside of regular business hours as needed, specifically relating to on-campus events.

  • Able to carry boxes or other items weighing up to 20 pounds.
