ABI currently has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Billing Specialist. Our Billing Specialists work closely with our clients and doctors ensuring accurate billing of invoices, providing fee quotes, and uncovering discrepancies. This is a full time position hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm PST. Pay range for this positon $19 /hr.
Essential Functions – All• Bill invoices in a timely and accurate manner.• Analyze invoices and client’s orders and/or supporting documentation for accuracy.• Sort, print, and attach invoices to hardcopy work and forward to appropriate departments for processing.• Monitor emails for any critical orders or rushes and process in a timely manner.• Apply invoices into other insurance carrier’s billing software to insure payment.• Report daily productivity to Supervisor.• Other duties as assigned by Management.
Marginal Functions• Evaluate processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.• Assist in special projects throughout the year.

Educational and/or Experience Requirements• High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of six months relevant experience.
Skills and Abilities • Good understanding of basic billing procedures.• Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.• Highly self motivated and directed.• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.• Ability to work in a team environment.• Good analytical skills and problem solving abilities.• Ability to work overtime during certain periods of the month.• Proficiency at typing; preferred level of at least 45 wpm.• Able to bill invoices accurately with reasonable output. Must be able to shift into high gear while maintaining quality of work.
