Responsibilities:

-Manage accounts receivable and timely billing

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping methods
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies or trends
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account analysis to identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to address complex accounting issues
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to data security protocols

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role for a construction or roofing company
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar programs
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Familiarity with financial report writing and analysis techniques
