Abercrombie & Kent USA is Hiring a Guest Relations Specialist Near Downers Grove, IL
- Monitor the Guest Relations email box and assign issues for follow-up in a timely manner.
- Answer phone calls and assist guests who are traveling or have post-travel feedback or complaints.
- Enter all guest relations issues in the reservation system, documenting follow-up and closing when resolved.
- Ensure all guests concerns are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.
- Where required, research issues with local offices and other departments and recommend appropriate resolution with guests.
- Escalate potentially serious issues to the department manager in a timely manner.
- Complete travel credit and refund requests and communicate to guests as appropriate.
- Attend briefings and presentations to stay current with A&K destinations and products.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Exceptional customer service demeanour
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focus
- Works well in a team and under pressure; quick on their feet
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Knowledge of world geography
- Must be able to read/write/speak in English fluently
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years in customer facing role. Customer service or quality assurance experience preferred.
- Travel industry or luxury experience desired.
- Emergency Duty 24/7 phone coverage is required approximately 1 week per month.
- International travel may be required for training up to 1 trip per year (and maintain a current passport).
