IT IS IMPERATIVE that you are good with reading numbers. That you have NO issues with mixing numbers up in your head. I am not referencing math. So let me be clear, when you see this "73" your mind doesn't register 'thirty seven', but it registers 'seventy three".
You need to be comfortable pulling a trailer (Goosneck).
We are growing. We are one of the only new door/trim/lumber companies in DFW in the past 20 years and we can't keep up with demand. So come prepared to grow. I need you to be extremely reliable and when you make a mistake, just own it and lets get it corrected. I am not hiring people to be perfect and I don't expect perfection. But I do expect humility, hard work and at Abel Lumber, we all respect each other.
This job is responsible for the following:
- Loading, transporting, and delivering product to customers in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the company in the field.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Complete accurate delivery forms.
- Operating equipment and machinery.
- Preparing orders in the warehouse for delivery.
- Accepting delivery of inventory & confirming the accuracy.
- Inspect inventory for damage upon delivery.
- Marking and labeling stock.
- Communicating errors or inventory issues to manager.
- Ensure cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
