ABeam Consulting is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Irving, TX
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team in our Irving, Texas office. The ideal candidate will manage the accounts receivable/accounts payable process efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts receivable/payable and incoming/outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable/payable data
- Preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts receivable/payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due
- Monitor financial transactions
- Communicate with vendors, customers and colleagues
- Report the status of accounts and discrepancies
- Respond to ad hoc requests for reporting and financial information
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven working experience and expertise in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Journal Entry, Bank Statement Reconciliation, Month-End-Close and Reporting
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on proficient experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAP or other full-scale ERP software)
- Intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable experience
- Proficiency in English and MS Office, including Excel
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining accuracy
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proven performance in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and coworkers
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred, and/or at least five years of working experience as an Accounting Specialist
