This position involves heading a team in the ANSI Switchgear MV (Medium Voltage), Electrification Distribution Solution (ELDS), ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures and quality and safety standards and policies.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).

Production Manager

• Core Responsibilities: Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources
• Develops programs, projects, goals and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations
• Develops and executes plans to reduce non value added costs, increase revenues and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates
• Ensures that Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization
• Provides support to the Sales team, as required, during customer visits to explain the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities
• Collaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes
• License to Operate/ Core Values: Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly
• Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area

• Collaboration/Leadership: Promotes and enables collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas and teams to maximize results for ABB
• Provides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams
• Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment
• Ensures that their own area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
• Inspires, guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR (Human Resource) policies

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering preferred with minimum of 3 years of experience OR Associate degree plus 5 years OR HS diploma/GED plus 7 years experience in a manufacturing or product development environment or equivalent leadership experience
