Remote Contract Position

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Management consultant to join our team. This role is pivotal in reviewing medical and billing records to determine appropriate billing practices, and ensuring the valuation of medical bills is consistent with industry standards. As a consultant, you will be hired for various projects to review medical and billing records and explain the best practices in medical billing and coding.

Key Responsibilities:

Review medical and billing records to determine appropriate billing practices.

Research and identify the usual, customary, and reasonable value of medical services.

Provide insights on industry standard best practices within healthcare finance and medical billing and coding.

Consult with medical providers, including non-medical physicians, medical physicians, and law firms.

Offer expert witness and consulting services as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years of healthcare finance/revenue cycle management experience.
• Certifications through the AAPC or HFMA are highly preferred.
• Profound knowledge of billing and coding practices, as well as the usual and customary rates for medical services.
