We are seeking a Bilingual outgoing dynamic, friendly and courteous Full Time Medical Front Desk Associate with prior experience in healthcare, preferably, in an outpatient facility/physicians' office for a busy Rheumatologist facility and willing to travel to our Sun City Center and Wesley Chapel satellite offices when needed.
We are seeking someone to provide clerical support following established standards and practices. The candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service, familiarity with front desk procedures and patient collection knowledge.
This person will be able to direct inquiries to the appropriate office staff and will refer matters outside his/her scope of duties to the Clerical Supervisor or Office Administrator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Welcoming patients to the facility; and serving as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors. Must have referral and prior authorization experience.
Duties would include, answering phones, following up with patients for follow-up appointments. Comforting patients by answering preliminary non-medical questions, anticipating their anxieties and maintaining the reception area. Scheduling appointments in person or by phone by obtaining required demographic information including payer/insurance information and scheduling new and follow up appointments. Performing patient check-in/check-out procedures and assisting with administrative duties. Collecting co-pays, and patient balances when applicable. Acting as liaison between clinical staff and patients. Verifying patient benefits, and directing processes required for prior authorizations. Representing the clinic in a professional manner and treating all customers, internal and external, courteously and cooperatively. Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned and within his/her scope of work.'
