Salary Range: $109,000.00 - $124,000.00 Salary/year

Psychological Assessment Clinical Supervisor

Job purpose

The Psychological Assessment Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of psychological assessment batteries and reports and the clinical supervision of interns, trainees, and staff of the Behavioral Health department. This position is responsible for the supervision and/or consultation, and training of interns, trainees, and licensed program staff in the Behavioral Health department.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision/consultation of assessments for pre-doctoral interns and trainees, including clinical documentation review and live supervision. Identify assessment-specific development needs and provides timely performance feedback to assigned interns and trainees.
  • Provide culturally sensitive, client centered individual/group/family counseling/rehabilitation direct services, including the development of culturally relevant assessments and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and performs case management services.
  • Complete all documentation per Medi-Cal, Santa Clara County, and AACI standards within expected deadlines.
  • Conduct psychological assessment and testing for assigned clients.
  • Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support.
  • Assist in the evaluation of interns and trainees for Master's and Doctoral programs.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.

Qualifications


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology and Neuropsychology is required.
  • Two years or more of psychological testing, including neuropsychological testing and report writing experience.
  • Current license in Psychology from the California Board of Psychology.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, treatment approaches, and trauma-informed care, and knowledge of engagement strategies for various clinical populations.
  • Knowledge of effective supervision strategies is key to supporting the implementation of competency-based supervision to assist supervisees in a manner that aligns with their level of professional development.
  • Knowledge of various testing measures, especially related to the assessment of ADHD, personality, intelligence, performance validity, as well as neuropsychological measures for clients with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), dementia, etc.
  • Ability to navigate various systems within the department, as well as have clear collaborative skill in terms of interacting as part of an interdisciplinary team to support interns, trainees, staff, and clients.
  • Skilled in the utilization of an electronic health record for documenting clinical services. Adept at the provision of clinical supervision and the facilitation of clinical didactics.
  • Skilled in the provision of psychological testing, including the process of the clinical interview, testing administration, feedback, and other applicable components of the psychological testing process.
  • Self-reflective approach and openness to receiving and providing feedback.
  • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural, professional, and experiential backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
