AAA Inc. Brand is Hiring a Director, Chief Audit Executive (Hybrid) Near Lake, FL

The Director and Chief Audit Executive will be responsible for analyzing and testing controls and recommending improvements to the operations, risks, functions, processes, systems, procedures, and policies of the association and its departments. This position conducts the annual risk assessment, structures the audit plan, and recommends changes to enhance the performance and compliance of the organization. The Director reports functionally to and provides support to the Audit Committees of AAA, Inc. and the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. Additionally, the Director facilitates the AAA, Inc. Enterprise Risk Management effort and investigates violations of AAA, Inc. policies, Code of Conduct, or misuse of assets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates meetings and supports activities of the AAA Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee.
  • Reports to and supports activities of the Foundation for Traffic Safety Audit Committee; facilitates meetings.
  • Plans, organizes and directs the operations of the Audit Services department. Coordinates efforts with other departments and reports the results to the AAA Officers and the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee.
  • Maintains a comprehensive program of internal audits covering AAA functions, processes, procedures, policies, systems, subsidiary operations, and Member Club interests relating to national contracts with business partners. Report findings, process improvements, and actions taken on audit issues to departmental management, officers, the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee, and, on occasion, member clubs.
  • Assists AAA management and departments with projects to identify savings opportunities, strengthen information security, and improve operations. Makes recommendations regarding AAA, Inc. policies and fraud detection and performs specialized analysis as requested by Officers or Board members.
  • Facilitates and oversees the AAA, Inc. Enterprise Risk Management effort in partnership with the Officer team.
  • Evaluate all new or revised AAA, Inc. policies for internal controls, compliance, reasonableness, and process adequacy in coordination with other departments or policies as required. Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the AAA, Inc. policy repository.
  • Serves as the auditor for AAA, Inc. programs and partnerships involving AAA, Inc. and Member Clubs. Works with Member Clubs as needed.
  • Performs investigations related to suspected misappropriation or misuse of AAA, Inc. assets as well as suspected wrongdoing relating to the Code of Conduct and organizational policies.
  • Performs an annual risk analysis to determine the utilization of audit resources to safeguard assets best, protect the brand, and improve operations and systems.
  • Oversees the annual Code of Conduct Conflict of Interest disclosure process for AAA, Inc. associates and the AAA Board of Directors.
  • Supervises work output, performance, and conduct of one or more Associates in alignment with AAA’s ethical standards. Provides feedback, coaching, and mentorship to promote growth and development and positive work culture.

  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills; able to present to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of audit processes.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Record of accomplishment of improving business and/or business processes.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, or economics required, and a minimum of nine (9) years experience in auditing; or, Master’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, economics, and a minimum of five (5) years experience in auditing.
  • At least one (1) of the following certifications is required: Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Management Accountant, or Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Hiring Range:

$ 126,000 to $156,000

This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.

The actual compensation at the time of offering will be based on your overall qualifications and experience.
