ASSISTANT MANAGER 

A16 San Francisco is seeking a motivated and energized restaurant leader. The right candidates will have at least 2 years of restaurant leadership experience; in-depth wine knowledge (bonus for an Italian wine focus); fine dining and event experience; and be able to inspire, coach, and develop their FOH Team. The pace is fast and dynamic with immediate opportunities for creative projects and growth!

The Assistant Manager works hand-in-hand with the Hospitality Manager and owner to lead and coordinate the FOH staff. Some key responsibilities are:

• Leadership on the floor in support of the team and guests.
• Opening and closing the restaurant
• Team education
• Recruitment, coaching, mentoring, disciplinary procedures, and scheduling
• VIP Relations
• Cultivate and develop restaurant event business: buy-outs, parties, special events
• FOH ordering and inventory
• Restaurant facility management oversight
• Administrative duties: weekly finance/account and payroll package

• Lead scheduled team meetings with inspirational and educationally driven content.
• Identify individual team members’ skills and opportunities to place and promote them effectively.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits (medical and dental fully covered for the employee) in addition to a quarterly bonus program. The workweek will typically be 50 hours per week and the position requires nights and weekend hours.
