About the role The qualified individual will have full and comprehensive knowledge of MHE systems and be able to repair and troubleshoot all aspects of it with minimal supervision. Maintain company assets with a high degree of craftsmanship and pride. Will have a strong understanding of all material handling equipment (MHE) and hand tools, power tools, and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs of the MHE, facility, and assigned projects. Troubleshoot and repair of material handling equipment (MHE); Dematic conveyor and Ambaflex spiral conveyors, RSC navigation, frequency drives and parameters, servos and replacement, Understanding of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and hardware installations, Repair of Sick camera scanners, scales, tapers, carton erector. The impact you can have. Mentoring and training other Maintenance Technicians (I and II) Ability to read and interpret Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic schematics. Ability to read and interpret Construction and Building blueprints. Project design, fabrication, and implementation. Perform preventive maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (MHE), powered equipment, and other facility equipment as needed. Ability to operate scissor and boom lift, sit down counterbalance forklift. Ability to perform maintenance welding and fabrication as needed. Plumbing, minor electrical, drywall, painting, and woodworking experience Additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet the established goals of the facility. You’ll bring to the role. 5 years’ experience in a hands-on high-level maintenance role in a large, automated distribution center or manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance; Dematic conveyor experience a plus. Knowledge of OSHA Lock out tag out and fall protection. Flexibility with schedule/overtime Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and execute responsibilities on schedule. Strong problem solving and decision-making ability. Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
