What does a Delivery Driver Team Member do?

• Drives a delivery vehicle along a defined delivery route
• Loads and drives a delivery van to drop off packages to customers
• Tracks and reports working hours and breaks at appropriate times
• Follows strict safety standards on and off the road
• Adheres to all safety policies, obeys all applicable traffic laws, and drives in accordance with all weather and conditions
• Full-Time drivers commonly work 4 days a week
• Part-Time drivers commonly work 3 days a week
• Typical working days are 10 hours
• Interacts with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
• Uses handheld technology and application to manage the delivery process
• Completes a daily maintenance review of vehicle and communicate concerns to Supervisor.

What are the basic requirements?

• Must be 21 and have a valid driver’s license
• Must consent to a Background Check
• Must consent to a drug screen
• Must have a clean motor vehicle report. (Multiple violations and accidents will disqualify you from the position)
• Must be able to operate a delivery van with an automatic transmission
• Must be able to move packages up to 50 lbs. and heavier than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to easily get in and out of the van multiple times each day
• Must have effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• High-school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Holds high ethical standards at all times
• Proven track record of reliability
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
• Prior professional driving experience is a plus but not required
• Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
