Job description Position Overview:
The Service Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining the monthly schedule for caregivers and clients. The Service Coordinator will coordinate and communicate with all caregivers and clients, create their schedules and availability, and ensure their files are accurate, in a timely manner. The Service Coordinator will receive on-the-job training. This position is fast paced and requires the ability to communicate, prioritize, think critically, and problem solve. This is a full-time position, five (5) days a week between Monday – Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Essential Functions:
The Service Coordinator’s main function is to make sure all clients and caregivers are matched to the clients’ preferred schedule. The Service coordinator must be able to build relationships and know the important characteristics of each caregiver to be able to match their skills and personalities with clients.
Responsibilities of the Service Coordinator:
• Answering phone calls. • Building schedules. • Caregiver/client matching. • Manage unconfirmed shifts. • Manage caregiver call outs and scheduling adjustments.• Confirming shifts with caregivers and clients. • Documentation of various events, situations, changes, cancelations, and other occurrences. • Other projects as needed.• Team building with employees. • Communicating employee concerns and issues with operations manager and/or RN • Communicating with clients and client contacts. • Filing and on-call duties.
Skills/Qualifications:
• One (1) year of previous experience in an office setting. • Experience in the senior care industry preferred but not required. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform multiple tasks. • Self-starter. • Oral and written communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well with others.• Excellent computer skills. • Excellent organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical.) • Establishing priorities and managing workload. • Able to work independently and in a team. • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
