Duties:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence and deterring illegal or inappropriate actions
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats
- Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents or fire alarms, and take appropriate action
- Conduct security checks of individuals, vehicles, and bags to prevent unauthorized entry or theft
- Enforce access control procedures and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities

Experience:
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and law enforcement agencies

Skills:
- Conflict management: Ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
- Loss prevention: Knowledge of techniques to prevent theft or loss of property
- Surveillance: Proficient in monitoring surveillance cameras and identifying suspicious activities
- CPR: Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for providing emergency medical assistance if needed
- CCTV: Familiarity with closed-circuit television systems for monitoring and recording activities
- Militarise: Ability to follow strict protocols and adhere to security procedures like those used in military settings
- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures for providing immediate medical assistance if required
- Law enforcement: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and protocols related to security operations
