Description

 A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO 9001 certified company, is a leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan is currently seeking a full time Tool and Die Repair. 

Primary purpose of job:

Repair existing tools and dies for punch press machines. Identify and correct problems with tools and dies.

Requirements

1. Repair dies per work orders.
2. Change over dies in the Tool Room per work orders.
3. Modify dies using tool requests or work orders.
4. Change over dies in punch press machines.
5. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, such as ear and eye protection.
6. Perform regular maintenance of dies by sharpening or polishing.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
8. Follow all OSHA and Company safety regulations.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience, or abilities:

1. Skilled in use of micrometers and calipers.
2. Must be able to visually inspect and measure fixtures.
3. Ability to use and operate mills, grinders, drill presses, band saws, lathes and heat treat ovens.
4. Ability to read blueprints.
5. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. 
6. Above average math skills
7. Must have own tools
