Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide support and assistance to elderly individuals and adults with disabilities. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in helping individuals lead fulfilling lives by promoting their independence and well-being.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Medication Reminders according to prescribed schedules
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Assist with transportation to appointments, social outings, and community activities
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills
- Document individual progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior to supervisors
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the highest quality of care
Experience:
- 1 year previous experience in home care, or assisted living is required
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration and behavior management techniques is a plus
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and schedules
Note: All applicants must successfully pass all criminal background checks.
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
