Job Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals with disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
• Foster meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
• Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols.
• Adhere to all policies provided by APD and the personnel policy of A Guiding Hand LLC.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE ACTIVE LEVEL 2 BACKGROUND
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR certification is required.
• 2 years of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities is required.
• Required trainings/certificates: HIPPA, Zero Tolerance, HIV/AIDS/Blood born pathogens, Basic First Aid, Health and Safety Direct Core Competency and other trainings as required.
• CNA license is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation/current vehicle registration/full coverage vehicle insurance.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be patient, empathetic, and able to communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:

• This is a 1099 contract position; all independent contractors are responsible for withholding tax.
• No overtime or time and a half will be provided.
• Flexible scheduling options available.
• Employees are required to work during disasters or emergency situations to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.

Incentive Package:

• Prepayment for background screenings for those ready to work and who have completed all required APD trainings!
• Prepayment for gas expenses for those who have timely attendance to shifts!

Pay Details:

• Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.
• Opportunity for a raise at one year based on performance and commitment.
