A Glimpse of Africa was founded in 2019 to unite people to showcase, educate, celebrate, and share diverse African cultures while fostering community programs that voice, advocate for, and address African refugees and immigrants' needs and disparities. A Glimpse of Africa's mission is to ensure that African immigrants and refugees are visible, through advocacy, creating a sense of belonging, and breaking language, cultural, and systemic barriers. We are seeking a detail-oriented, dynamic, and enthusiastic Volunteer & Events Coordinator to join our growing team. What You'll Do:
As the Volunteer & Events Coordinator, you'll play an instrumental part in ensuring the success of our annual A Glimpse of Africa Festival, Gala, and community events by overseeing event planning and logistics. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll coordinate event volunteer recruiting, training, and planning sessions while building relationships with community partners and fundraising. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make an impact and contribute to a vibrant cultural celebration of African immigrant and refugee communities. In this role, you'll:
