Summary of Services & Responsibilities:
Intensive In-Home is a service for children and teens who need a lot of support to stay in their homes. A clinician leads a team of experts who work with the family and the child short-term to provide the best treatment for serious problems related to mental health and/or substance use. This service may only be provided through age 20. The team provides individualized services that are developed in full partnership with the family. Effective engagement, including cultural sensitivity, is essential in providing services in the family’s living environment. Services are generally more intensive at the beginning of treatment and decrease over time as the beneficiary’s skills develop.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises team members to assure the delivery of best and ethical practices services.
  • Directs the day-to-day operations of the team including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage.
  • Provides individual therapy for individuals served by the team.
  • Complete assessments as needed including but not limited to BPRS, DLA 20, and CANS.
  • Upon referring individuals out of services complete CCA addendums.
Education and Experience Required:
  • A master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or related field. 
  • At least one (1) year experience with the child mental health population.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA.
Resume must include degree earned (major & minor), graduation month & year, relevant employment dates including month and year, and populations served.
A Caring Alternative, LLC is a CARF accredited service provider with facilities in Asheville, Hickory, Marion, and Morganton, NC. A Caring Alternative, LLC is CABHA certified and a Trauma Informed Agency. We provide an array of services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, McDowell, and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Outpatient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care.
