Day Treatment is a service designed to serve children 5 to 17 years of age who, because of their mental health or substance use disorder treatment needs, are unable to benefit from participation in academic services at a developmentally appropriate level in a traditional school setting. Day Treatment is a structured treatment service that builds on strengths and addresses identified needs by providing clinical interventions and service to support children in achieving functional gains that support the educational settings, is developmentally appropriate, is culturally relevant and sensitive, and is child and family centered. A Team Lead is responsible for overall supervision of individuals on their team; ensuring quality services are delivered and that staff adheres to documentation requirements. Ensure that day to day operations of their program are in order. Hours are most typically school hours with flexibility around completing paperwork. Job Duties Include
Coordinate service learning for their programs and send lesson plans to manager
Initiate and complete orientations with new families
Show knowledge and use of clinical process to achieve positive outcomes to include: evaluation, assessment, service, treatment planning, intervention techniques, aftercare, and transition planning
Communicate with school staff and supervisor when crisis occur, ensure crisis plans are followed
Partner with the clinician to ensure clinical appropriate interventions are implemented for the kids in program. Ensure all documentation completion including SIR’s and client authorizations. Ensure due dates are maintained with client related documentation: notes, Incident Reports, NCTOPPS, PCPs and authorizations.
Education And Experience Required
A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, or other closely related Human Services area
Two (2) years of professional experience with the child mental health population
Resume must include degree earned (major & minor), graduation month & year, relevant employment dates including month and year, and populations served. A Caring Alternative, LLC a CARF accredited service provider with facilities in Asheville, Hickory, Marion, and Morganton, NC. A Caring Alternative, LLC is CABHA certified and a Trauma Informed Agency. We provide an array of services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, McDowell, and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Outpatient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care.
