Overview
Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) in Pittsburgh, PA
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Work Authorization: No Sponsorship
The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for Staff Accountant. Ideal candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting with 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or in a staff accountant position within a corporate setting.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Record monthly journal entries into the accounting system
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts, identifying variances
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the accounting manager
- Support and assist external auditors
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports including 10-Qs and 10-Ks
- Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or progress toward passing the CPA preferred
Required Experience
- 1-3 years experience in public accounting or in a corporate accounting setting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience creating reports
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
